Objectives of the position

Responsible for planning and coordinating the logistics/distribution activities, including order processing, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and sourcing and customer service. Manages and trains a team of logistics/distribution staff.


Responsibilities

Establish and implement logistics procedures in line with organizational and to effectively managing & controlling all facets of the logistics operations
Manages the daily operations of the customer services, distribution, import/export and order processing systems in a region
Developing business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions to eliminates the inefficiencies and integrates the activities in the logistics and distribution systems
Forecasting systems of stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and performance evaluation
They plan and manage the movement of goods in a supply chain, liaising with many parties including suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumer
Analyze internal Warehouse Systems & Procedures, facilities including long-term facility plans, equipment and manpower on a continuous basis to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity is achieved and is in line with logistics/distribution budget
Implementing health and safety procedures, managing staff training issues, motivating other members of the team, project management, setting objectives
Executes new initiates to improve work processes

Resource Qualifications

Masters Degree or Bachelor's Degree



Computer Skills

Microsoft office programs including: Excel, Work and Power point, SAP, Projects is advantageous


Work experience

At least 8 years of Warehousing and Distribution experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role

You must have an excellent track record in leading and managing logistic operations
You must be familiar with a computerized warehouse environment and good knowledge of warehouse functions and activities

Good communication skills, especially in Chinese and English

Ability to lead a team of operations staff and hands on leader with the determination to succeed
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
The ability to work in groups or be self-motivated
