职位描述
1. help with interpretation during clinical, organizational and administrative meetings.
2. help with translation of material for new programs in HuaXin Hospital and the Medical Centre of Tsinghua University.
3. organize and attend meetings and ensuring he is well-prepared for meetings.
4. Interface with medical supplier companies
5. keep his diary
6. take calls, letters and e-mails on his behalf. and keep him updated
7. prepare correspondence on his behalf.
8. source and order stationery and office equipment.
9. arrange travel and accommodation and, occasionally, travel with him to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations.
10. Assist him is other ways such as visa renewal

In addition some medical assistance may be required on occasions:
1. contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests and/or admission.
2. assist during patient examinations.
3. assist by typing and translating dictated patient notes
4. help him examine and treat patients, handling instruments and materials
5. inventory work to order medical, lab, and office supplies and equipment.
6. His PA will maintain confidentiality of patient-sensitive information at all times.

Professor Porter is employed by the Medical Centre of Tsinghua University (ThUMC) as a foreign expert and has a license to practice orthopaedic surgery in Beijing. He is also Head of the Department of Orthoapedic Surgery at HuaXin Hospital (First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University). He is expected to see and treat patients in HuaXin Hospital and work with ThUMC to promote the Medical Centre and Affiliated Hospitals of Tsinghua University in diverse ways.

　　医院前身为国家信息产业部（前为四机部、机电部、电子工业部）的直属医院，创办于1959年2月，先后称为电子总医院、401医院、北京酒仙桥医院。1994年被北京市卫生局评定为三级医院和爱婴医院，1995年起被北京市列为大病统筹定点医院、公费医疗定点医院和首批医保定点医院。2003年4月划归国家教育部成为清华大学附属医院。医院多年被评为“首都公共卫生文明单位”。

　　医院位于紧邻东四环的北京市朝阳区酒仙桥地区，紧邻四环路和机场高速路，交通方便。占地面积5.2万平方米，建筑面积7万余平方米，编制床位760张。年门急诊近85万人次，住院患者近1.7万人次。
