Avanade Project Managers are highly skilled in planning and managing the technical design, development, construction, and delivery of technology solutions to address an organization's business needs.

As a Project Manager, your responsibility will be Avanade personnel on engagements managed by our partners, Accenture and Microsoft, and our customers. You will work with the managers of those projects, with the Avanade team members and assigned regional Core Services team to ensure that our services are delivered to our standards and to the expectations of our customers.

You will represent Avanade to the customer, serving as the contact for financial, legal and personnel issues. You will be responsible for customer communications and will work proactively to resolve business and technical issues. Specifically, the role includes:

• Responding to requests for Avanade consultants by working with the Regional Scheduler, sales and the customer to best fit the need
• Creating legal service agreements and work orders with the customer and Avanade legal
• Setting up of all financial processes required by the engagement
• Invoicing to and payment from the customer
• Acting as the liaison between Avanade and the consultants on the project
• Working with the customer project managers to ensure that their needs are met
• Forecasting Avanade financial data for each project
• Finding and developing future opportunities for consultants

Minimum requirements:

Consulting Project Experience

• Familiarity with the entire life cycle of a development project
• Responsibility for shared resources, budgets, time estimates and scheduling
• Resolving conflicts between projects
• Reporting status to customers and sponsors
• Interest and ability to travel to projects for meetings and reviews on a regular basis

Administrative Experience:

• Crafting contracts and scope of work descriptions
• Forecasting financials

Technical Experience:

• Enterprise experience with custom software development experience and/or technical infrastructure projects

Project management methodologies:

• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel

Preferred qualifications:

• Account Management/Customer Relationship Management-type experience
• Experience managing multiple small consulting projects in parallel
• Proven ability to sell consulting services to new and existing customers
• Relevant industry knowledge
