职位描述

A large industry leading North American machinery company is hiring a Logistics Manager with focus in customs compliance for its Pudong location.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for ensuring company's compliance to Global Customs requirements as they relate to inbound components and outbound finished products. This position is also responsible for creating and executing business strategies relating to logistics processes that act to minimize financial and delivery impacts for company and its customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
? Acts as the key company contact for all customs brokers and trade consultants, including negotiation of all rates/fees and service agreements.
? Works with external global custom agencies to ensure day-to-day customs compliance with import and export regulations and trade agreements.
? Develops the strategy and roadmap to create global guidelines and processes standard processes relating to customs, compliance and security practices (including cost saving intiatives) for all company Operations.
? Develops the strategy and roadmap to ensure company is compliant with new legislative requirements (i.e., EDI, CTPAT etc..).
? Ensures company suppliers and customers are aware of and educated as it relates to their contribution to customs compliance.
? Manages and reviews overall performance of the Customs service provider (including negotiating contracts).
? Assists and prepares for customs audits, including researching information, collection data, and auditing the required documentation.
? Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to a local Logistics Team and is responsible for all aspects of managing this team, including recruitment and performance management activities. As well, the Logistics Manager is responsible for providing coaching, training and mentorship on logistics & customs requirements and legislation.

? Superior knowledge of Trade Agreements and Customs legislation, Customs compliance and security practices.
? Proven ability to manage and motivate people, influence others to work towards a common business and/or team goal, resolve conflict, communicate well with team and others and provide and be receptive to feedback.
? Attention to detail and superior organization skills.
? Effective verbal and written communication skills.
? Proficient with Excel, Word and Access (preferred).
? Strong Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION
Post secondary education (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance)
- RELATED EXPERIENCE
? 3-5 years of analytical logistics operations experience, coupled with logistics experience
? Prior leadership experience, preferably in a Operations or Logistics related role
