职位描述

The Account Manager is to focus on major Telecommunications Operator clients in China.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Existing customer growth and retention through strategic selling skills:
a. Lead virtual team of Application Engineers, Channel Partners to build relationships with customer that support, renew and further penetrate existing accounts.
b. Proactively engage various teams within JDSU to ensure appropriate levels of direct customer support.
c. Establish, develop, strengthen and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
d. Hunt new business opportunities within existing accounts, deliver sales presentations, negotiate and close large deals.
e. Engage appropriate JDSU resources to build compelling value propositions.
f. Participate in the development of strategic customer planning sessions and reviews to ensure organizational alignment with customer needs and desires.
g. Consistently maintain a robust sales pipeline that supports and exceeds revenue forecasts.
h. Generate new ideas for service and product opportunities.
i. Attend industry events to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight and represent JDSU in the marketplace.

2. Perform reporting and administrative activities:
a. Analyze and control expenses to conform to accounting requirements and budgetary constraints.
b. Prepare periodic reports of sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
c. Maintain accuracy of online systems designed to report status and progress in Insight and other CRM tools.

Required Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

- At least 8 to 10 years in technology sales (solution sales approach), plus Bachelor's degree (or equivalent job-related experience) within the Telecommunications space

- A proven track record of developing sales for new products within the China telecommunications operators accounts.

- Strong fundamental knowledge and Product knowledge of Data Communications is essential

- Sound technical knowledge of Network Equipments from Huawei, ALU, ZTE, Cisco and Juniper and related Telco Operations Support Systems (OSS)

- Sound technical knowledge of Telco Business Support Systems (BSS) and large scale systems (hardware, software and services) solutions

- Must be action- and results-oriented, a team player, and adaptable

- Able to think strategically and develop contacts quickly

- Must have business savvy, strong negotiation skills, and ability to close large, complex multi-million dollar deals

- Ability to solve practical problems involving a wide range of variables in creative ways
