Reports to: Technology Manager

Responsibilities

- Perform technology development in HVDC, e.g. valve technology, system study, control and protection.

- Ensure a successful execution and provide excellent technical contribution to research projects

- Follow up new technologies, have a clear view of technology development trends

Qualifications/Requirements

- PhD degree, or master degree with 3+ years working experience majored in electrical engineer, power system and its automation.

- Solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills

- Strong competence of topology analysis.

- Proficient in simulation tools, e.g Matlab, PSCAD, etc.

- Competence of application-oriented research works

- Excellent innovation capability

- Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies

- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluent in both oral and written English

- Be able to travel abroad, including short-term job rotation as required
