Job Title: Senior Applications Engineer
Reports To (Name & Title): Sr. Application Manager
LOB/Function/Market: Water & Wastewater treatment business

Position Objective (Briefly state what the main purpose of what this position is responsible for).
1. Be responsible for the application support for water & waste water treatment business.

Essential Job Functions: (Describe the primary tasks, duties and responsibilities associated with the position and actions that are required to perform in the role, be as detailed as possible. Is domestic/global travel required?)
1. Provides technical direction to develop filtration system solutions primarily for customer water and wastewater and in-process cross flow filtration requirements. (10%)
2. Works closely with sales and marketing to establish /define customer requirement and integrate PALL systems into customer’s process (10%)
3. Provides technical support for SLS in-house and field testing. (10%)
4. Evaluates alternative design approaches considering available technologies and structure a competitive position.(5%)
5. Performs appropriate calculations to ensure proper equipment selection, sizing and design. (20%)
6. Supports system proposal preparation, participates in customer presentations as required. (15%)
7. Prepares system cost estimates and system PFDs, prepares and/or directs P&ID and proposal drawing requirement, specifies major components as required, prepares/establishes customer’s system cost of ownership(COO). (10%)
8. Facilitates technical transfer of captured system orders to project management/design engineering and provides direction and engineering support to design engineering as required. (5%)
9. Stays abreast of technology in key applications areas.(10%)
10. Works with other function for product innovation/application upgrade.(5%)

Minimum Qualifications: (List the minimum qualifications and experience this position requires. Only list those areas that are essential to this position. Be as specific as possible, i.e. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, 5 – 7 years relevant work experience).
1. BS degree in engineering field with a minimum of 7-9 years professional experience;
2. MS degree in engineering field with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience.
3. MF (Micro Filtration) or RO (Reverse Osmosis )experience preferred in water and wastewater treatment.
