Roles and Responsibilities
The PMO (Project Management Office) is the fundamental unit of project oversight and reporting in the project management environment. It provides the capability to ensure professionalism and excellence in applying widely accepted principles and preferred project management practices to each project effort. This role is a key leadership role in the project management office for the Technology organization in APAC.
?Manages a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) in the APAC Technology Division and oversees project management policies, methodologies and guidelines and ensure they are followed.
?Manages analytics and reporting at the program, project and cost center level for APAC.
?Conducts independent research on assigned IT subject matters, analyze and propose solutions to senior management for decision making.
?Documents policies and procedures for IT processes for APAC.
?Looks for opportunities to build efficiencies, analyze and perform GAP analysis to propose business process improvement changes to Senior Management.
?Project Manages system implementations and enhancements projects.
?Ensures that the operational issues of the PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project teams, technology and issue resolution.
?Serves as the direct interface between IT teams within all APAC countries and US headquarters.
?Acts as the frontline point of direction for implementing and integrating business processes in the project management environment.
?Works with Disney Int’l PMO Director and EMEA counterparts to ensure all IT project reporting are up to date and consistent with Disney PMO requirements.
?Manages and mentors PMO team members.
Requirements
Education:
?Business or Technology related Bachelor’s degree
?PMP qualified (preferred)
Experience:
?Minimum of 5 years working experience, with 2 years in supervisory role
?Experience in financial planning and analysis of a department
?Experience of working in an IT department (preferred)
Qualifications:
?Ability to communicate effectively to senior management in both business and technology roles.
?Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills.
?Strong language skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
?Experience in managing and leading programs and projects best practices with measureable performance criteria.
?Has shown the ability to initiate change and act with integrity when tough decisions have to be made.
?Experience in IT systems implementation with strong business sense and be capable to analyze, understand and question business processes requested by end users.
?Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning and process management skills.
?Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation and group dynamics skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
?Demonstrated ability to build strong business and supplier relationships that ensure the successful delivery of IT services that drives benefits to the Segment/BU.
?Demonstrated ability to influence and lead efforts to provide overall guidance and structure for creating and maintaining standards for project and vendor management.
?Demonstrated ability to manage the day-to-day tasks of diverse teams, while effectively influencing senior management on key decisions and direction.
?Proven ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team to produce quality work in the development of solutions.
?Demonstrated inclusive leadership that embraces diversity.
