Purpose: The Partner/Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for Surface category product launches, marketing campaigns by leveraging wide-ranging store staff programs, product demos, creative assets and retailer websites. As well as alongside retail account managers and category managers to build business cases and define promotional opportunities - analyzing market conditions, product sell-through, shopper-to-buyer conversion and competitor activity. Build and own marketing execution plans, tailored for our partners, in order to drive sell thru, optimize cost effectiveness and deliver the right consumer experience for specific partners. This marketing expert leverages the partner’s ROB, marketing levers and Microsoft’s category strategies to successfully apply marketing programs that maximize revenue and marketing ROI


Key Accountabilities:

- Develop a close working relationship with Sales/Marketing to agree on Channel objectives

- Work with Product Marketing/Category Marketing to identify product goals and opportunities

- Work with Account executives & retail partners to identify retailer category goals and opportunities.

- Work with Retail Services to ensure flawless & effective execution of the channel marketing plans.

- Work with the regional / Corp Channel Marketing teams to leverage expertise and share & re-apply ideas

- Develop and execute a comprehensive retail marketing plan

- Identify Category growth drivers (the story) via deep sales/consumer fundamentals analysis.

- Recommend/execute differentiated in-store marketing innovation & execution drive sustainable sales lift

- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to identify breakthrough offers during peak time/launches.

- Maximize the impact of various category plans by synchronizing in and out of the store marketing communication.

- Shopping experience - in store & online

- Work closely with product managers/category leads to ensure appropriate assortment at retail, with desired store layout

- Design/execute consumer’s education programs to highlight our POD/purchase drivers. This will happen in partnership with Visual merchandizing/Digital Merch & Field coverage lead

- Funding and ROI Management

- Own and manage efficient and effective channel marketing budget for optimal ROI and strategic wins

- Employ Loved model to optimize marketing impact and ROI.

- Labor - Implement locally relevant coverage models which manage in-store relationships, existing store merchandising and data collection to ensure brand advocacy and maximize sell through, integrated across all categories

- Online - Localize and implement assets such as banners, microsites and product detail pages on retailer sites

- Visual Merchandising - Sell in, localize and land assets including POP, Interactive Displays and Ad templates

- Education - Localize and land curriculum through ExpertZone and your local field labor teams

- Demo - Sell in, monitor, upkeep, localize and customize by retailer and land demos



Experiences Required

- Solid 8-10 years experience and proven record in channel marketing and retail field.

- Excellent communication skill in both English and Chinese

- Strong ability to drive the end to end program management

- The versatility to translate your channel marketing expertise for our industry

- Experience in the gaming or electrical goods retail channel, product marketing or retail execution

- Demonstrated success in Channel Marketing leadership and influencing category growth.

- Demonstrated success in developing and executing in-store and integrated marketing campaigns.

- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects

- Some sales experience is desirable

Education

- MBA is preferred
