Roles & Responsibilities:
With background in development, IT architecture, database design, and/or business intelligence, you chose some years ago to focus on Technical Project Management. Hence nowadays your knowledge covers additionally different project management approaches like PMP, ITPM, and you are familiar with Lean Management like Kanban or SCRUM. Your strength is to understand project requirements, risks, (technical) communication between team members and towards the customer, having solutions for different requirements, situations and scenarios. Your social skills are as good as your technical skills and people trust you and your opinion. Your role and responsibility is to supervise several projects, planning meetings (Sprints), daily status meetings, resource planning and allocation, but also writing of specifications (business proposals, system designs), and consultation to the customer.
Hence your role can already start from the involvement in Business Development (preparation of sales presentations, visualization of business processes, IT architecture views) and continues with the setup of a team, leading several team members, managing the project (business proposal, user stories, documentation), clarifying the Solution Architecture (System Proposal) and manage the transition from Development to QA to Support (QA-Department, Test-Plans, ITPM, SLAs etc.) - hence understanding the different processes and details, but executed by each department. Knowledge and experience
? As a CRM/IT Consultant you have no difficulty in describing generic business processes off the top of your head and can apply them to any industry.
? You build a bridge from business requirements to solution design, solution implementation and IT operation. This is your main challenge, you are a mediator between both groups of interest: Business and IT. Your task is to deliver a solution that works for both parties
? You have a thorough understanding of business problems, and are perfectly familiar how a large corporate IT department operates.
? When a business users vaguely describes a business scenario, you ask the right questions, and thereby break it down into precise CRM/Marketing and/or described process steps.
? Once you have understood each process you know several ways on how to document it.
? Looking at any standard out of the box IT/CRM system, you are able to map the documented process in several ways to the standard features.
? You are able to identify requirements that are not covered by the standard features.
? You can describe a structure of a document that covers all of business requirements and are able to write it yourself or supervise its completion.
? You have accompanied several CRM solution implementation projects, from requirement, solution development to rollout and handover to operations.
? Throughout an implementation project new requirements do not come as a surprise, you are able to deal with them showing the correct attitude in regards of costs, timing, quality and customer satisfaction.
? The conclusion of a software implementation project is the go live. You show a methodical approach on how to realize this critical project phase and guarantee a smooth transition to operations.
Project management knowledge and experience
? Manage multiple concurrent projects ranging in scale and scope from one day to several months, advising clients from Business, IT, Marketing Department with IT driven solutions in several areas.
? Build and maintain key relationships with IT leaders on the client site, technical teams, and non-technical key-accounts and departments.
? Mentor and develop team members on structured methodology, general project related training topics and best practices, ensuring professionalism.
? Documenting business processes, GAP/Fit Analysis, IT solutions, business proposals, system designs, high-quality presentations, training plans.
? Participates in defining and documenting principles, models and standards that address business goals, company strategies and requirements.
? Develop work and cost estimates, program priorities, resource requirements, project scope, and objectives.
? Communicate clearly and concisely with Key-Account-Management, upper management and counterparts in Europe on project related issues.
? Contribute to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations and information for management.
? Update or assist material, case studies, content for various marketing channels.
? Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members, understanding the "big picture" what can be achieved when working as a team.
Experience and qualifications:
? Post Graduate/Graduate with very good communication skills in English, both oral and written. German is a plus.
? Very good working knowledge in one IT area.
? Good working knowledge of MS Office.
? Proactively approaches requirements, tasks and provide solutions.
? Work experience in multi-national IT service company is a plus
? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Effective response to management requests
? Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance
? Ability to look at situations from several points of view
? Ability to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas
? Ability to interact well in a multicultural environment, especially with co-workers of Chinese background.
