Essential Responsibilities

The RM&T Engineer has responsibility for all aspects of leading projects including writing proposals, defining architectures, analyzing requirements, modeling, writing specifications, managing suppliers, leading teams, managing cost and schedule, subsystem, aircraft integration, validation, verification and demonstration, and providing support for flight testing. The RM&T Engineer will interface with customers, partner companies and vendors to deliver a system solution. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, plus have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals. Responsibilities include: • Generate RM&T requirements and allocate to the system, subsystem and unit levels. • Perform RM&T analyses and predictions at the system, subsystem and unit levels. • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project. • Support the Bid and Proposal process by developing RM&T programs specifically designed in response to internal and external customer requirements. • Coordinate with subcontractors to define RM&T programs and oversee their efforts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures. • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues. • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. • Develop and maintain internal processes and standards. • Integrate processes across functional areas to improve coordination and maximize efficiency. • Scope, guide and execute to functional, business and broad company objectives. • Mentor and develop junior RM&T engineers. • Perform reliability prediction analysis using generally accepted methodology and failure rate sources such as MIL-HDBK-217, Prism, or field experience data. • Participate in Failure Review Board processes to identify and correct recurrent failure mechanisms. • Perform Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis to support the design process and to provide input to Safety, Testability and Logistics analyses. • Develop Reliability test plans and manage Reliability test activities. • Develop alternate methods for performing credible MTBF assessments using data gathered during design development, testing, and repair of returned production units. • Develop reliability engineering procedures and practices that support the development and continuous improvement of highly engineered products and services.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science. • At least 6 years of experience in related engineering positions.

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin), and English. • Demonstrated track record of leading technical teams. • Demonstrated ability to perform RM&T analyses. • Demonstrated ability to develop and allocate RM&T requirements. • Familiarity with safety engineering practices and associated industry standards, policies and procedures. • Familiarity with reliability engineering practices and associated industry standards, policies and procedures. • At least 5 years of experience working with the design and analysis of complex electronic products. • Understanding of circuit design and analysis. • Familiarity with software design and verification. • Familiarity with complex logic design and verification. • Strong technical aptitude, including engineering tools and systems. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. • Six Sigma Green Belt certification. • Ability to guide and influence others. • Understanding of the principles of the entire engineering development process, the associated documentation flow and associated tools. • Understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications. Other/Special Compliance Requirements: • FAA , EASA, or CAAC background / knowledge / experience. • Familiarity with ATA Specifications. • Familiarity with MSG-3 Analysis.
