The Uconnect Connected Vechile Program (CVP) Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all Uconnect CVP programs.This includes driving all phases of an Project Development cycle and managing the day to day operations of the project and scope. The PM will identify critical path decisions, make recommendations, and influence leadership for maximum return. The PM will also lead team collaboration to drive quality requirements, design, development, and enforce project standards.Ensure escalations are handled, as needed, between all partners to resolve all program management issues.
Job Description
The PM will work closely with project team members to perform the following tasks using a combination of solid business understanding, strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent leadership and facilitation techniques.
1. Partner with business leadership to lead the information technology initiative.
2. Perform project management for all tasks of project including estimating and tracking progress against baseline project plan and monitor and control development activities to an overall enterprise plan.
3. Develop peer, cross functional, and cross business relationships to maximize best practice, produce quality output, and successful program implementation.
4. Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise.
5. Work closely with leadership to develop future strategic solutions to meet business integration and scalability requirements.
6. Manage relationships with software and service suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high quality and cost effective solutions.
7. Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost/benefit analysis and budgets to leadership.
8. Work with suppliers to engage and utilize the right talent to support the project assignments and objectives.
9. Single point of contact for escalation of project issues/concerns.
10. Manage project financials and project portfolio.
11. Handle a variety of non-recurring special assignments.
12. Assist in developing solutions to unusual and difficult problems.
13. Develop and maintain policies and procedures in a specialized area.
14. Team Collaboration – Address low performance within the team
Qualifications:
1. Must be understanding of MS Project, Sharepoint and JIRA
2. Preferred Chinese and English
Functionality Skills and Technical skills
1. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
2. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
3. Analyze requirements to derive necessity and identify implicit requirements.
4. Experience managing requirements to ensure that scope is consistent with stated needs and that project deliverables remain synchronized as a result of agreed changes.
5. Successful experience with management of software application validation
6. Experience in agile development methods
Mgt and Leadership Skills
1. Knowledge of the techniques for managing multi-national and cross-functional teams.
2. Well-developed oral and written communication skills
3. Organizing - ability to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support), orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, use resources effectively and efficiently.
4. Critical thinking - use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
5. Planning - accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks.
6. Business Acumen - understand how business works; maintain awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
7. Ability to manage vehicle level project to assure all problems are resolved and timing milestones are met"
Experience and education
1. Advanced degree in Business, Engineering or similar field is preferred
2. Minimum of 3 years of Software Development and Project Management experience in Telematics.
3. Ability to understand technical issues and also handle business implications.
4. Experience managing project budgets.
