Lead the Quality Assurance function in the region across multiple locations including remote construction sites. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge to resolution based on root-cause analysis. Participates in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people in Quality Assurance for the region.

Job Responsibilities
1. Develops implements and maintains the activities of Quality Assurance Systems in the region
2. Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluating projects, construction sites, EPCs and suppliers.
3. Interface and work closely with Supply Chain, Project & Construction Management, Design & Engineering and Services to manage and implement QAP.
4. Ensure regular audits at construction sites & closure of NCR / observations. Continuous improvement of project related quality using lessons learned and related tools.
5. Closely work with Services to resolve Field issues.
6. Ensures completed sites conform to applicable standards & specifications
7. Ongoing analysis of QA Key Performance Indicators and the development of strategy, objectives and action plans to manage towards successful outcomes.
8. Develops budget and monitors expenditures.
9. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
10. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the area of construction, quality assurance and inspection.
11. Collaborate with senior leadership, and exercise judgment and discretion, in recommending, creating and implementing organizational strategies and objectives.
12. Able to explain complex and strategic concepts among diverse audiences, including senior management and external parties.
13. Perform assigned tasks with reliability, honesty and discretion.

Educational & Technical Qualification
1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil
2. Fluent English & Chinese in speaking, reading, and writing
3. Knowledge in ISO9001 and preferred certifies as lead auditor
4. Knowledge of 8D/5W Problem Solving Method and other Quality Tools

Job Related Experience
1. Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
2. Experience in energy sector or solar energy in utility, commercial or residential / small commercial environment is preferred
3. Experience in a senior management role in Quality Assurance
4. Strong project management, influencing and problem solving skills.
5. Demonstrated team building, leadership and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities.
7. Experience working with agencies and customers in multiple jurisdictions.

Working Conditions
1. Position based in China (Shanghai / Beijing)
2. Travel will be up to 60% of time to project sites & suppliers
3. Position reports to Regional Quality Director (Chennai HQ) administrative reporting to Country Manager (China)
