Lead the Supplier Quality Assurance function in the region and will be responsible for establishing performance metrics, policies, and procedures in developing, approving and administering Quality relationships with suppliers in China. Use experience to help suppliers to solve problems and develop supplier performance improvement plans.
Job Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement and manage the activities of Supplier Quality Assurance program in the region
2. Collaborate SCM & Regional SQ for supplier search, evaluation & selection and to update AVL/APL
3. Manage EPQP (External Product Qualification Process) & Development of all critical suppliers
4. Track supplier scorecard and develop supplier performance improvement plan
5. Administer supplier corrective action system and leading supplier quality review board
6. Ensure closure of SCAR (supplier corrective action reports) and regular supplier audits for quality conformance
7. Maintain metrics & dashboard for supplier quality of all key suppliers
8. Direct incoming inspection supervisors & supplier quality engineers
9. Interface and work closely with Supply Chain, Project & Construction Management, Design & Engineering and Services to manage and improve Supplier Quality Program
10. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the area of quality assurance and inspection.
11. Able to explain complex technical issues including senior management, suppliers and external parties.
12. Perform assigned tasks with reliability, honesty and discretion.

Educational & Technical Qualification
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / EE
2. Fluent English & Chinese in speaking, reading, and writing
3. Knowledge in ISO9001 and preferred certifies as lead auditor
4. Expert product and process auditor, prior experience with Supplier quality and management
5. Knowledge of 8D/5W Problem Solving Method and other Quality Tools

Job Related Experience
1. Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
2. Experience in energy sector or solar energy is preferred
3. Expert product and process auditor, prior experience with Supplier quality and management
4. Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities.
5. Experience working with suppliers & agencies in multiple jurisdictions.
6. Working experience on products include (but not limited to) – Solar Trackers, Fixed Tilt and Roof Top Structures, Inverters, Transformers, Combiner Boxes, Cables, Fastners

Working Conditions
1. Position based in China (Shanghai / Beijing)
2. Travel will be up to 70% of time to suppliers & project sites
3. Position reports to Regional Supplier Quality Manager (Chennai HQ) and Counter Quality Leader (China)
