Responsibilities:
Development in research area.
Candidate must have strong communication skills.
Candidate must be able to work on multiple products simultaneously.
Demonstrates the ability to accurately estimate their own work product and that of others.
Work individually on committed milestones.
Should possess good problem solving skills to be able to judge problems in a very complicated environment.
Qualifications:
Solid experience in software design and development.
Excellent on problem analysis, experience on coding in a big system .
Advanced level of experience in OOP programming language, such as Java/C++.
Strong Experience in scripting languages such as Python/Perl.
Experience on mobile industry. Experience on Android OS/iOS/Windows Phone 7 is a big plus.
Knowledge of Android Security would be highly regarded.
Experience of SQL/DWH, or experience in distributed database is a good plus.
Experience in machine learning or big data analysis will be highly regarded.
Must be able to interact comfortably with members of the worldwide team and employees in other departments in Symantec.
Ability to plan and estimate his/her own work and should track the accuracy of his/her estimates and learn to make adjustments based on his/her prior performance. Ability to re-prioritize work at short notice.
Must be a motivated, detail-oriented individual, fast learner and a good team player.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
