Role Summary/Purpose
The Marketing Communications Manager will direct functional area of Water Greater China. In this role you will translate concepts, develop strategy, and implement change, create programs responsive to the external environment, participating cross-functional business and internal communications for cultural development. In this role you need to develop effective working relation with sales, product management, and other functions.
Essential Responsibilities
-Lead integrated Marketing Communication (MarCom) strategy & programs for the market segment and develop and deliver the value story
-Own the communication strategy, plan development and integration of those communication elements into the relevant MarCom COEs & Regions for execution
- Integrate communications activities to enable sales and positioning of our capabilities
-Develop segment promotion strategy by integrating NPI & commercial commercialization & overall segment positioning
-Create and deploy branding , advertising, public relations (PR), customer events, and ensure consistent utilization of GE branding guidelines
-Create & own promotion material including collateral, customer events, publications, interviews, and advertising to promote segment themes, and specific New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercial commericalization to position products with differentiated value
- Establish Water China digital marketing strategy by leveraging water global & China GGO resources.
-Works with business leaders to drive business and cultural initiatives and to measure employee engagement and gather opinion trends and feedback
- Create, produce and oversee internal and external communications
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 8 additional years of experience in Marketing Communications (MarCom)
- Native speaker of one local language and fluent in English (strong written and oral communication skills).
- Ability to conceptualize, structure, write and pitch compelling stories for a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work.
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Marketing is preferred
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing is preferred
- Strong market research and commercialization capabilities
- Knowledge of developing and implementing communications campaigns
- Broad knowledge of print, video and web-production technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work
- Strong business acumen
-Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments
- Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
- Brand management knowledge and experience is preferred
- Knowledge of GE products and services is preferred
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
