Key Responsibilities:
? Support Product Investigation and Technical Support teams in the diagnosis and resolution of complex Powertrain calibration issues in market;
? Undertake analysis of data collected in China and make recommendations for changes to Standards;
? Develop Powertrain diagnostic procedures & processes for dealers and Technical Support functions;
? Provide training support for the local team in problem diagnosis and use of diagnostic equipment;
? Support local warranty returns analysis with suppliers and at the parts return centre;
? Support UK Engineering in warranty investigations of Powertrain quality issues in China;
? Identify priority items for analysis, based on input from warranty data and quality reports;
? Drive stakeholder progress on downstream warranty cost reduction work streams to quickly implement improvement actions and minimise spend within the warranty vehicle car park;
? Lead local remanufacturing projects of Powertrain components in China as a means to reducing warranty expenditure and retaining out-of-warranty customers;
? Support competitor and customer benchmarking activities, including ride & drive events and attribute target setting for future products.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:
? Proven track record in Engine Management Systems and Calibration;
? Detailed knowledge of associated tools INCA, Canalyser, AS;
? Proven history of problem solving and process improvement, Six-Sigma training an advantage;
? Familiarity with quality and warranty data and ability to analyse/ interpret;
? The candidate must have a record of proactive delivery, commitment to meeting deadlines and be able to build strong relationships;
? Proven ability to work with remote cross-functional teams and drive results;
? Automotive experience and understanding of vehicle architecture and systems;
? Good level of understanding Powertrain development;
? Good knowledge of automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness;
? Ability to build & maintain effective relationships across all levels of the business;
? Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and English;
? Both verbal and written communication skills (in English & Mandarin) are vital to report technical and business issues to all levels of the business;
? Engineering degree;
? Full driving license & willingness to travel.
