Objective
The objective of the Marketing Communications Program Manager is to manage the day-to-day internal relationship with China leadership and provide communication support and input, ensuring that the client is 100% satisfied with the service and delivery from the global Marcoms functions. The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with the Marcoms Director, the functional marcoms team, the sales and marketing teams and the management/ Corporate China Communications teams to strategize, develop and implement internal and external stakeholder communications for key HPS initiatives in China.
Key job summary
Identify, create, enhance and manage the appropriate mix of communications programs, channels and vehicles to drive awareness, understanding and adoption of key client initiatives, including but not limited to the website, webinars, training materials, PPT presentations, speeches, scripts, multimedia and video presentations, events, and PR outreach
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Communications Strategies & Planning
- Promote, develop and incubate measurable communication strategies.
- Contribute to the development of Annual Strategic Plan. Contribute as needed in market research, surveys, etc…
- Works closely with other marketing and business functions to prioritize key segments, develop compelling value propositions and identify product go-to-market strategies
? Plan, budget and justify event strategies in line with business objectives and execute in conjunction with local support.
2. Marketing Communications (Functional) Effectiveness.
- Manage and coordinate programs across the Marcom mix on behalf of the products lines of business, driving best practices.
- Continually improve scale, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. Identify and roll out best practice sharing to improve re-use and bolster productivity.
- Create dashboards to monitor functional effectiveness.
- Ensure coordination and collaboration with Global MarCom and Honeywell Corporate level initiatives.
? Improve both the effectiveness and quality of the marketing collateral and streamline for distribution and use across Greater China.
- Hire, manage, and monitor performance of consultants and agencies.
- Manage planning and execution of internal/external events, including shows, customer events, sales meeting.
- Develop media plan and manage placement.
3. Public Relations
- Work with Global PR manager towards an annual PR plan for the region.
- Develop effective relationships with local and national media towards optimized exposure and coverage. Proactively place HPS content in targeted communication vehicles.
- Coordinate PR effort with Marketing, Sales, PMT and Corporate Communications for maximum impact.
4. Media management
- Work with many stakeholders to create and implement media strategies to raise the level of awareness for the Honeywell brand in media/press.
- Update web content for the Chinese website so that the messages are current and consistent with the HPS global messaging
5. Internal communications
- Developing and executing measurable internal communications strategies and plans that engage the workforce through effective two-way communications
- Facilitate communications internally to augment the global messaging to develop a team environment and spirit in China in conjunction with HR
- Developing and managing all internal communications including news-letters, intranet, town-hall, award programs, key organization announcement and other communication programs.
Qualifications – External
Desired Skills and Experience
? Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field with 8-10 years of experience building internal communications programs for a large scale and variable audiences
? Fluent English and Mandarin, written and spoken
? Exceptional writing, editorial, project management, time management and communication skills
? Proofreading skills, including familiarity and practical experience working with AP guidelines
? Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate through influence with a variety level of program stakeholders
? Must provide examples of previous work including printed and/or online publications, email, presentations, etc.
? Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others so as to achieve objectives and success metrics of the broader Marketing Communications team
? Demonstrate initiative and confidence, with the ability to present ideas to all levels of stakeholders and clients
? Ability to stay calm, professional and agile in a dynamic and fast-paced client environment
? Demonstrated client management skills
? Experience in process industry environment preferable
