Position: Trade Operation Officer, Shanghai Branch


Principal duties:

Processor of Export trade transactions, 2nd market forfeiting, LC refinance, clean TR, back up for ABOQ, AML daily report preparation, Checker for all transactions under authorized limit, support for department head on department management

Details of duties:

• Co-ordinate with HQ ITSR for handling of all transactions within HQ’s cut off time.
• Major processor for D/A, D/P, BEP, LC negotiation, forfeiting and discount, clean TR
• FX transaction rate and funding booking with treasury for finance product
• 2ND market forfeiting and LC refinance product
• Chceker for remittance, LC advising and FX transactions within the authorized amount limit
• 直接投资系统、贸易信贷登记管理系统、出口收汇待核查系统、中国电子口岸进口付汇核查系

• Monitor for export LC customer license and annual review
• Prepare ID set up form in FITAS and REM system for non borrowing customer
• Voucher and journal report checking for transactions processed
• XML system file download
• Provide signature witness service to UOB group other branches
• RBK report daily checking and voucher binding
• Prepare SAFE and PBOC monthly report accurately and punctually
• Prepare Monthly reconciliation of export product
• Groom and motivate junior staff on product knowledge and processing
• SAFE, PBOC survey, self-check exercise and ad-hoc report preparation
• Liaise with compliance and relevant departments in adhering to AML requirements
• Co-ordinate with HQ for system UAT and report automation project
• Co-ordinate with Branch TB team on enhancement of trade finance products
• Proactively provide recommendation on the improvement of department daily routine and procedure
• Provide high quality service to customers, report customer complaints to department head in time
• Prevent the repetition of audit issues, concerns raised by SAFE, auditors, compliance etc during their on-site and off-site inspection and quality assurance check exercise
• Perform other assignments requested by the management from time to time
  
  

Job Requirements:

• University graduate with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with major in Trade Finance or Economics.
• At least 2 years of international trade settlement experience in banking industry.
• Ability to work independently to develop innovative solutions to satisfy customer needs.
• Good knowledge of Documentary LC/Guarantee/Standby LC and relevant local regulations.
• Familiar with UCP500, URC522, ISBP98.
• Sound knowledge in PC skills.
• With RMB business experience on Bill of Exchange preferred.
• Highly motivated and team oriented with good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent Mandarin and English language skills, both written and spoken
