Principal I & C Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities (Specific Accountabilities):
? The role is leading a project team responsible for all field instrumentation and DCS/PLC/SIS systems.
? Working and active knowledge of field inline and offline instrument calculations and datasheets (InTools), requisitioning, bid evaluations, oversight of all design drawings (installation details, instrument index and database, wiring and loop diagrams, etc.).
? DCS/PLC/SIS systems design and configuration.
? Interface with other disciplines on a project basis.
? Good understanding of industry standards.
Education and Experience Requirement
? Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation engineering.
? Experience in a major leading chemical & petrochemical design institute with minimal 13 years, at least 2 large project as lead experience.
? Experience in a leading international engineering company is a plus.
? Familiar with codes, standard, regulations and practices applicable to engineering design and construction of production.
? Capable of understanding project integrated schedules and prioritizing workloads to support deliverables in written (excel spreadsheet format) or other project reports for review by integrated team members.
? Ability to harmonize construction practices that take into consideration the applicable international, national and Projects standards.
? Proven ability in understanding business principles and their application to project decisions and developing cost estimates, performance specifications, procedures, contracts and work orders.
Skills and Competency
? Team work and interpersonal communication skills.
? Willing to work at times at jobsites, as needed – based mainly out of home office
? “Can-do” attitude, willing to work on tasks not in exact areas of expertise.
? Good working knowledge of basic field instrumentation, DCS/PLC/SIS systems, instrument datasheet/calc/database software.
? Cross-discipline skills/experience in electrical engineering (power) a plus
? Familiar with codes, standard, regulations and practices applicable to engineering design and construction of production.
? Good command of English, both written and oral plus have excellent command of mandarin.
? Problem solving skills.
? Good computer skills - Microsoft office.
? Initiative (proactive approach).
? Attention to detail.
? Creativity skills in solving difficult problems are demonstrated.
