Lingerie Technical Designer Description:

The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, results-oriented and possesses the ability to oversee the creation of original concepts that encompasses style, fit, fabric and color as it relates to brand. Must have extensive patternmaking background or a very strong understanding of garment construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the company's new Lingerie design and development

- Design and development of seasonal collections from initial concept to sign off ensuring each range meets the standards and requirements of the brands.

- Identify Key Trend, Shape, Style, Color, Print and Fabric’s appropriate to the brand and identify new areas of opportunity and growth within the market.

- Ensure that each product is both commercially and technically viable

- Oversea sample development process

- Process comments and approvals of fit, print, samples, trim, at both development and production stages

- Attend fittings for both sample and production garments to provide technical advice, and have the capacity to dictate fit comments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical knowledge of fabric construction, finishes and techniques, and pattern making

- Strong color sense / print sense.

- Must be extremely hard working, detail oriented and have a strong understanding of technical lingerie knowledge, with a focus on lace and stretch fabrications

- Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment

- Not afraid to speak up and think outside the box

- Sense of urgency and ability to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to hand sketch designs is a must

- Keen insight into innovation driving the fashion industry (textiles, manufacturing, technology, etc.)

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a lingerie designer, technical knowledge of how to make bras, Spanx and construction, make comfortable, shaping the body nice for the modern women

- Can understanding, communicating and working well with chief designer

- Have couple of good resources of bra or spanx making factory

- Fluent in oral & written English
