Job: Program Management

Position Description

• Serve as Program Manager for major initiatives in the China region for Supplier Management Operations

• Serve as a representative for Boeing in leading and managing the supplier through the entire execution of work transfers in the region

• Meet all major milestones to ensure that supplier delivery commitments are met and enable production rates and capacity growth

• Identify and evaluate risks and address them with contingency (backup) plans, remove roadblock, and elevate items as needed

• Manage resources in support of work transfers and focal communications to stakeholders • Facilitate meetings with a cross-functional team

• Document actions and ensure that all stakeholders are held accountable for meeting their commitments and ECD's

• Formulate a method and create a detailed plan/approach to meet technical requirements listed in a document or engineering drawing

• Develop solutions to complex technical problems while considering established precedents and policies

• Own the development and implementation of standard tools and processes, including program management best practices throughout the region for the functional teams

• Lead major regional projects, such as annual planning, long range business planning, and SINC • Be the communication focal for the SM Operations team

• Create and maintain presentations for all levels of the Company.

• Support ad hoc supplier recovery efforts in the field as an operations expert

• Actively participate in determining objectives of assignments, project plans, and schedules, and independently arrange activities to accomplish those objectives

Competencies:

• An accredited Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science Degree in Engineering and preferably more than 10 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing – certifications of fluency in English will be an advantage

• Possess experience in 6 or more of the following: Process Modeling; Manufacturing Operations Support; Project Management; Lean Manufacturing; Statistical/Trend Analysis; Six Sigma; Capacity Planning; Production/Manufacturing System Design; Work Methods Analysis/Time Standards; Planning/Constraint Based Scheduling; Ergonomics & Human Factors; Facilities Layout Design; Root Cause Analysis; Inventory Control; or Value Stream Analysis

• Able to read and understand technical documents and engineering drawings

• Possess experience in performing Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis and implementation of acceptable preventive action

• Able to independently manage, define, and control the scope and timing of projects, as well as perform risk analysis using project management tools, such as work break-down structure, precedence network, and resource allocation

• Able to formulate and author presentations and present project status to peers, senior management, project sponsor and/or other stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and changes to project

• Able to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel to gather information and data

• Able to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

• Able to independently identify key stakeholders, project objectives, and requirements

• Able to ensure that assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting to all stakeholders

• Possess critical skills and problem-solving skills

• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

• Able to clearly communicate well with all audiences to ensure their understanding of the technical requirements listed in a document or engineering drawing

• Possess strong team building skills and the ability to maintain good relationships with all stakeholders

• Able to perform assigned work with minimal direction and supervision

• Possess strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
