Description
-To lead, motivate and manage a team of Team leaders and CSEs / GSEs while establishing strong work ethics and open channels of communication;
-To acquire complete understanding of the Payments processes under one’s purview and have a broad understanding of the associated processes and undertake approvals for high value payments / facilities;
-To have a tight control on Operational losses, and mitigation of potential frauds through strong internal audit and staff feedback mechanisms;
-Common frauds/errors/irregular transactions are identified immediately and appropriate action is taken in accordance with procedures;
-To manage escalations, complaints and service feedback queries within quick TATs in line with escalation procedures published and agreed within Payments;
-Manage complex processes in a changing environment, whilst evaluating operational impacts, risks and manage change implementation in the team;
-Manage and support incoming migrations / remigrations / projects, interacting with training / business and project teams;
-To continually reassess the operational risk inherent in the business & implement Group Compliance policy;
-Ensure processing of all tasks accurately within cut-off times every single day. Ensure smooth running of section and aim towards maintaining an error free processing environment;
-Lead by example through service excellence and drive quality initiative for improved customer satisfaction;
-Building positive and professional relationships with Business Partners and colleague in other areas;
-Lead and develop teams and individuals, focusing on development of direct reports. Create a supportive work environment;
-Share knowledge and experience with colleagues by providing assistance on referred/technical issues and should advise and provide guidance in a constructive manner;
-Recognise underperformance and deal with the same effectively and in a timely manner;
-Ensure that the process is regularly reviewed to identify improvements that will enhance operational and financial effectiveness;
-MI and other business data requirements are completed accurately and reports are presented to business partners/management within agreed timescales;
-Design cross training initiatives to meet business and operational needs;
-Understand Business Continuity relevant to the process for implementation;
-Drive constant improvement in the quality of service provided to Business partners and external customers;
-Act as a Payments CoE ambassador at all times;
-Share and communicate PcoE Vision and strategy constantly with the team;
-Retain Talent, manage attrition and ensure team participates in all site CSR and staff engagement activities.
Qualifications
-Recognised as a Subject Matter Expert in Payments Business Service;
-5 years of working experience in Operations Management / change management with experience of managing large teams;
-Strong communication skills;
-Excellent planning, organizing and prioritisation skills;
-Good numerical skills – capacity planning and resource optimization;
-Good leadership skills – ability to motivate, manage small teams;
-Good decision making skills – ability to take tough decisions keeping in mind business objectives;
-Good problem solving skills – ability to think quickly and act in tough situations;
-Self driven with a ‘Can Do’ approach;
-Japanese language skill is an advantage.
