-The service offerings from the Mobility Consulting (MC) Department of Siemens Mobility and Logistics (MOL) Division combine management consultancy expertise with in-depth know-how of transport technologies and solutions. Taking a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach, MC advises city executives and authorities on the management of their strategic, operational and technological challenges and the development of key transportation infrastructure initiatives.

What are my responsibilities?
-As a Senior Consultant for the subject area of Transportation the candidate will accept the following main tasks and responsibilities:
-Carrying out detailed city studies with a focus on the transport sector
-Providing consultancy services in the areas of:
-Transport (especially rail and road) planning and road traffic engineering
-Strategic and technical solutions for tackling transport challenges of cities
-Economic assessment and investment appraisal for the suggested solutions
-Business models or business cases for the solutions provided
-Financing options for the recommended solutions
-City workshops and panel discussions
-Business development and marketing strategies
-Inputs to project proposals and bidding documents
-Workshops and panel discussions and other sales activities
-Coordination and cooperation with Siemens' internal partners and external partners (e.g., consultancy firms and government authorities)
-Coaching and supervising junior staff within the consultancy team

What do I need to qualify for this job?
-Overall understanding of the transportation industry in China
-At least 7 years working experience in the transportation sector with substantial software development and transport modelling project experiences

-Deep insights and knowledge in transport solutions and technologies (e.g. intelligent transport systems, railway systems and operations, IT platforms, and system integration)
-Skills in project management and business skills are highly desirable
-Very strong communication and presentation skills in complex environment
-Very good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is essential
-The candidate must have a Masters degree in transportation (a PhD is highly desirable)
-Being educated and having working experience abroad is an advantage
