Main Responsibilities /Accountabilities / Tasks
When managing projects:
?Able to manage different type of projects (process review, new business initiative, regulatory, etc) and several projects in parallel
?Manage project including budget, schedule, scope, risk and delivery quality
?Able to identify project stakeholders, define their roles and responsibilities clearly, and to communicate with stakeholders according to need
?Liaise with other relevant stakeholders (business lines, product lines, IT, Operations, Finance, ORM, compliance, Audit, etc) on relevant subjects and activities to ensure impact analysis and project scope is complete
?Manage project changes on scope, budget and schedule, record the changes and seek for SteerCo approval
?Organize project steering committee meeting to share project status and ask for advices
?Provide regular status updates according to agreed/approved communication plan
?Escalate issues/ risks timely to head of ORG and other key stakeholders
?Able to understand, interpret and write business requirement
?Able to identify the gaps between the existing function and newly raised user requirement
?Lead End Users to review and finally sign off the requirements
?Prepare the project schedule plan and share most up-to-date version to stakeholders
?Lead the Users to prepare test strategy, test plan, test cases, test data, and coordinate tests, and follow up test result according to agreed/needed frequency
?Manage the End-user Training including training plan, training materials and facilitating the training
?Able to identify the impact to the existing procedures and to propose on how to modify
?Able to write new procedures being part of the project deliverables, get validated and published
?For project go-live, define detailed plan, share with all related stakeholders and coordinate the go-live
?For project post-live management, share clear governance for the 1st 1-2 weeks, follow up closely with related parties to ensure issues and crisis can be managed smoothly, also communicate with sponsor, head of ORG, COO with right depth of information
?For closing of a project, all documents, project total cost, project summary should be archived
When managing new products:
?Being the main contact for business line / product line on the related new product
?Review product memo to ensure its completeness and accuracy, ensure business rationale is logical and acceptable
?Perform gap analysis with related parties and summarize before kick-off meeting
?Work closely with NPC coordinator to arrange kick-off, pre-validation, validation meeting
?Arrange follow up meetings with related NPC members to ensure product validation and launching according to the schedule plan
?Consolidate pre-conditions and post-conditions regarding the product launching before moving to validation meeting
?Coordinate with NPC members to input their conditions following the golden rules into IMPACT system if needed
?Follow up those pre-conditions and post-conditions for each new product until it is all closed in IMPACT system according to the committed time
?After new product is launched, keep following up its NBI achievement for internal reporting purpose
?Acquires in-depth knowledge on the functional areas allocated to him/her (as main contact or as back-up)
Academic Background (degree and major)
-Master’s degree in finance / economic / Information technology or other relevant subjects
Working Experience /Technical Skills & Know how
At least 6 years project management experience in banks or consulting company on banking sector
Skills & Competencies
?Knowledge of banking processes and processes description methodology
?Good project management skills (actual management experience is a must), PMP is a plus
?Ability to understand the needs of the end users in banking context and to propose solutions
?Able to chair big meetings and manage meeting effectively and efficiently
?Good analytical skill and problem solving skills
?Good document skill including producing different type of reports (SteerCo, Working level, project plan, procedures, filing documents, etc), can present status and solutions explicitly using various tools (charts, tables, color arrangement, wording, etc)
?Ability to work on multi-tasks in parallel and to know how to prioritize
?Being positive and can work under pressure
?Good communication and interpersonal skills
?Strong team work spirit
Language Skills
-Fluent in English and Mandarin, documentation and deliverables to be drafted both in English and Chinese.
Computer Skill
-Strong PC skills, PPT, Excel
