Role Summary/Purpose
The Global Monitoring Leader, Greater China is responsible for overseeing the financial and financial compliance monitoring activities for designated regions and P&Ls within GE Healthcare (GEHC). He/she will lead a team of individuals that execute monitoring activities on a global basis, but with strong focus on the GEHC Greater China business. He/she will deploy a policy and controls framework, monitoring and testing plan and training to ensure compliance. Working very closely with Regional
Essential Responsibilities
• Leading and managing regional teams executing monitoring activities locally across the designated regions, including, but not limited to:
o Audits and monitoring over GEHC’s IPP program and related controls;
o "Remote Site" financial and compliance audits (also in coordination with Corporate Audit Staff);
o SOX documentation, testing and remediation;
o AML and KYC audits;
o Other financial areas and investigations
• Operationalize and ensure adherence to GEHC’s Delegation of Authority (DoA) in the designated regions
• Ensure consistent financial and financial compliance policy execution; lead projects to implement enhanced Financial Compliance controls consistent with an evolving regulatory environment and/or business policies
• Develop tools that facilitate policy understanding, policy control, training and monitoring
• Develop communication plans, operating mechanisms, reports and metrics to support key business imperatives and commercial execution
• Partner with leadership teams in the designated regions to improve effectiveness and efficiency of critical controllership and compliance processes
• Train personnel (i.e., Sales and Marketing teams) on critical policies and help to develop practical approaches for ensuring compliance in daily work; assist in the simplification of policies to ensure they are practical and effective
• Assist in leading Risk Assessments and Reviews with the regions and senior management, and follow up with concerns and remediation of issues.
• Develop success metrics & measure progress against them
• Assist the Global Head of Monitoring in developing audit and monitoring standards to standardize and optimize monitoring processes and reporting;
• Support audits and monitoring activities outside the China region, as need arises
• Develop, coach and mentor resources under management. Foster a culture of integrity, independence and high-standards while being a strong partner in developing practical solutions to various complex business problems.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of risk management / compliance / controllership experience
• Audit and/or monitoring experience in a Global environment
• Demonstrated strong process and/or project management skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective in both individual and team based responsibilities; prior management of audit resources
• Quantitative analytical skills with the ability to identify, interpret and resolve unstructured problems
• Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Some Compliance knowledge/experience valuable/useful…including knowledge of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Fluency in English and Mandarin; other languages beneficial
• Able to work out of the GEHC’s Beijing office (preferred). Qualified candidates will also be considered in Shanghai.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
