Performance Chemicals will be a new, leading industrial chemical company apart from its current parent company, DuPont, effective July, 2015. Performance Chemicals will have global leadership in titanium dioxide, fluorochemicals, fluoropolymers and selected specialty and industrial chemicals. It will be focused on serving customers who rely on these products, along with improved capability to respond to customer needs and market trends with a highly competitive asset base, product line and workforce. Performance Chemicals will have a presence in 36 countries and will serve customers in more than 90 countries around the world. The new company will supply customers from 38 manufacturing locations, which span every region of the world. The result will be a new company with the assets and presence to support the continued global operation of our businesses and to serve customers around the world.


Responsibilities:
? Provides technical support to Capstone® customers in AP region to facilitate growth of the Capstone® businesses in this area.
? Resolve customers’ problems. This includes resolving processing problems, assisting in the optimization of recipes to meet performance requirements, providing sufficient information to plant technical so that customer complaints can be resolved effectively.
? Assist sales in introducing new products by developing product data, processing conditions, applications and value-in-use information, sales tool and product literature and support to make the sales tool.
? Provides support to other Sales & Marketing employees for example: deliver the technical speech/presentation in related trade show and customer seminar to help the marketing promotions, and provide suggestions to distributor network in positioning existing products and development of new products or compounds to fit identified needs for the same customer base.
? Evaluate competitive products and recommend actions that allow DuPont to gain competitive advantage for the Capston® businesses.
? Accountable for facilitating growth of the Capstone® businesses in AP
? Provides technology know-how and industry knowledge to maintain and sustain the long-term health of the business.
? Provide distributor and customer training as needed

Qualifications:
? Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Fine Chemical Technology
? 4 – 7 years of experience in coating & paint industry
? Previous customer interface experience preferred
? Strong technical background and willingness to learn new technology
? Demonstrated ability to use scientific methods and to follow-up reliably
? Demonstrated understanding of the principles of formulations and mixtures
? Knowledge of surfactant, coating formulation and application
? Knowledge of end use markets for paint & coating products (value chain understanding)
? Excellent command of English language (written, listening and oral) is essential.
? Team player with excellent networking skills. Be proactive, constructive to try all the means to solve the problems to work out the solution.
