The VNU EA Finance Department is going through a professionalization process of becoming a Business Center to the company. Providing valuable management information, pro-active project support, creating efficient and supporting processes and providing Business Control will be key tasks of the Finance Department.
The new FD (a native Dutch) is looking for an ambitious and communicative assistant with an interest both in Finance and Business who has the ambition to grow with the company. The assistant controller will help in designing and implementing an effective Planning and Control structure in close cooperation with the FD.


The assistant controller will
1) Contribute to the implementation of the Planning & Control structure
2) Manage the budget and forecast cycle
3) Pro-actively discuss and propose process and system improvements
4) Become a ‘business partner’ to the business managers
5) Assist the FD in creating a stable Finance structure that is ‘in control’
6) Be the reliable finance assistant to the FD
Requirements:
1) Business Economics or Controlling (Business Analytics) background and experience
2) Strong business sense and understanding of business risk & control
3) Understanding of Accounting
4) Strong capabilities with Excel
5) Communicative and service mindset
6) Energetic, pro-active and positive character
7) Fluent skills in English and Mandarin


Having worked in an international business environment or outside of China is a plus
