Alfa Laval will set up an Asia Sanitary Equipment Centre in Shanghai and we are now looking for a Heat Exchanger Product Portfolio Manager for the Asian market. You will be responsible for developing market strategies and plans for your portfolio in the Asian markets as well as providing claim support and technical advisory for our Asia sales companies, key customers and channels. The Heat Exchanger Product Portfolio Manager will report directly to our Sanitary Equipment Asia Manager.

Responsibilities:

For Alfa Laval’s Heat Exchangers portfolio for Asia sanitary market:

· Identify and make proposals for product gaps, possible Alliances / acquisitions

· Define and recommend discount strategies together with Sanitary Market Unit Managers in Asia

· Define and support marketing tools, materials and strategies together with Sanitary Market Unit Managers in Asia

· Support and implement product launches

· Interface with product center.

· Providing technical and commercial training and support for Alfa Laval sales companies, key customers and channels

· Responsible for investigations, analysis and closing of claims and implementation of corrective actions

· Acquire and communicate market and competitor intelligence

For the Asian hub countries and for Heat Exchangers, directly responsible for:

· Meet or exceed agreed annual financial targets.

· Responsible for general claim follow up and communication

· Development of a profitable Alfa Laval product portfolio

· Technical advice and support

· Knowledge of competitor products

· Offer solutions to customers in accordance with RCPL and discount structure

· Issuing claim reports for sanitary equipment department and analyse data with respect of corrective actions

· Accept claim related costs up to 1 000 Euro

· Acting and working in accordance to Alfa Laval’s policies and pure performance

· Revenue expenditure within budgets and limits.

For the Asian hub countries, indirectly responsible for:

· Asia sanitary industry total growth and profitability

· Customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Competencies/ Profile:

· A good technical knowledge on Heat Exchangers

· Service minded and good corporation ability

· Knowledge in market strategy/planning

· Skills in presentations for small and large audiences

· Skills in adopting to local manners, cultures and business relations

· Good communication skills in English (reading, conversation and writing)

Qualifications & experience:

· Experience with Heat Exchangers and customer support

· Engineering and/or commercial background,

· Experience in food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries

This position will have to travel 50-80 days per year.
