ESB Finance Analyst - Accounting and Reporting
Roles & Responsibilities
Scope:
The FAPA ESB Finance Analyst is responsible for reporting business and financial performance to management, ensuring compliance with Ford Finance Manual and managing routine pricing processes.
Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze ESB revenue, profit and volume from all APA markets. Consolidate monthly performance report and distribute to APA management, identify key drivers of variance and recommend initiatives to improve performance.
Coordinate annual budgeting and planning, ESB business plan process with markets, APA Regional team and APA Customer Service Operation Finance.
Act as APA content expert of Ford ESB Finance Manual and Accounting Rules of the Road and partner with APA Market Finance to ensure revenue and cost recognition methodology is compliant with the guidelines.
Maintenance of ESB pricing setup and update in SERVIS2 ESB system.
Manage APA ESB annual pricing review - collect key pricing assumptions and actual performance from stakeholders, setup and monitor schedule to ensure on deadline is meet.
Enhance and develop accounting and revenue recognition module (or standalone applications) within ESB business system.
In the long term, develop process to centralize ESB financial reporting for APA.
Conduct other ad hoc ESB business analysis as required.
Experience and Background Skills Desired: The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor or above degree in Accounting or Finance major, CPA / ACCA or other equivalent certification is a plus.
Technical background in insurance, extended warranty, warranty accounting and/or insurance regulatory compliance would be preferable.
Knowledge of Ford APA markets, Ford's product and brand requirements in these markets.
Be a self-starter, with the ability to take responsibility for key financial studies in support of strategic business initiatives
Be an effective communicator, with ability to work within a diverse (culturally and functionally) environment.
