JV Sourcing Buyer
Within the JV sourcing team in China: JV sourcing buyer will be responsible for his or her synergy sourcing and JV sourcing scope.
Scope: Engine Combustion within Powertrain Sourcing
The Sourcing Buyer drives and executes all contractual-and sourcing activities up to supplier selection with the purpose of selecting the most competitive suppliers from a Quality Delivery Cost and Feature perspective in accordance with the Sourcing strategy and the JV Projects’ requirements. Sourcing buyer is also responsible to maintain supplier relationship management.
Responsibilities
Be representative for combustion scope sourcing for Joint Venture.
Lead, negotiate and execute all sourcing activities in every phase of the product life cycle.
Contribute to sourcing strategy and ensure implementation.
Negotiate agreements and ensure signature and storage of all relevant agreements.
Generate JV synergy. Business case analysis, commercial leading and presenting to sourcing decision body.
Deliver to Projects and other internal customer on time.
Market intelligence and technology development in its area of expertise.
Ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles within the respective segment(s).
Act as supplier relationship host.
Required Qualifications
University degree preferably in engineering or business
Confirmed experience in Purchasing and/or negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship
Previous experience in working in projects and a business oriented mindset
Fluent in English and Chinese
Other qualifications :
Networking and collaborative way of working, global mindset
Strong competence in negotiation in difficult environment, for convincing people and influencing decisions
Ability to capture technical challenges for Powertrain Combustion
Ability to capture business opportunities and synergy for ASIA JV and global Volvo business
Ability to manage diversity and change
