Job Title
Manager Transactual Sales

Purpose of the Job
The TSM is responsible to grow the business (orders/sales/GM) for a number of designated plants through promoting sales of the Product Line’s products & services through the LSC’s Service & Sales Managers. Specifically for the transactional business, the TSM is responsible to support the LSC’s for the sales, tendering and execution thereof as required and has to ensure the business’ responsiveness to the customers’ expectations.

Mission
Objectives and Responsibility
? Offer & Tender management process – Technical part in-coordination with TSCN- Area team (Sales, Proposal) – Area China
o To manage Tender Management process (mainly technical scope) in all enquiry.
o To support for timely submission of offers – by arranging technical inputs for offer preparation. Wherever required vendor co-ordination for complete techno-commercial scope.
o Define Modus of operandi, DOW for successful management of enquiry and winning the order.
o Technical Vetting of offer.
o Participate during customer negotiation meeting (As per Sales Manager requirement)
o Generate any opportunity identified and follow-up for getting customer enquiry accordingly.
? Identification of Risk in the job and generate the execution strategy accordingly.
? Offer & Tender Management process – complete Techno-commercial scope with LSC
Accountability
? Timely arrangement of all technical inputs required during enquiry development, offer preparation in co-ordination with Area
? Follow-up with Area and timely submission of all offers and their further progress till order materialisation
? Ensure Low-cycle time for offer submission

Educational Requirements
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge and Experience
? Should have sound technical knowledge of turbines preferably of large capacity steam turbines. Preference is for person who has worked in both engineering & service of turbines. Experience: min 4 years in the relevant field. Basic knowledge about commercials especially financial terms.
? Good knowledge of Power Plant Systems; Strong either in O&M/ Installation & commissioning/ Service or Maintenance of Steam Turbine.
? Commercial Terminology; Tender and execution process for power sector business
Competencies
Technical & Commercial Skills:
? Experience with Steam Turbine design and/or O&M concepts or Site Installation & Commissioning or Overhauls & Repairs
? Experience in Tender process
