Senior Talent Associate
Position Profile
The Senior Talent Associate is responsible for delivering facets of recruiting success throughout CMG China. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Senior Talent Associate will play a critical role in ensuring we hire the best-fit talent.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute recruiting plans.
a) Work closely with Talent Acquisition Manager on market-specific recruitment plans to meet business needs;
b) Define the appropriate job descriptions with the support of business leaders;
c) Efficiently and effectively fill junior to middle level open positions;
d) Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need;
e) Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting;
f) Build networks to find qualified passive candidates;
g) Post openings in relevant job boards, CMG alumni networks, CMG Sources, with professional organizations, and in other appropriate venues.
h) Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
? --Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
? --Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
? --Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
2. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and internal employees etc.
a) Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
b) Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
c) Assist in maintaining the CMG Employee Referral Incentive Program
d) Create contacts within the industry.
e) Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
f) Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
3. Administrative duties, recordkeeping and database development & maintenance.
a) Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
b) Conduct candidates prescreening
c) Maintain the talent database and develop a seamless connection with the Human Resources Information System (Taleo).
d) Assist in performing reference checks for potential employees.
e) Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
f) Assist in interviewing and selecting employee onsite.
g) Assist in negotiating, preparing and sending offer packages.
h) Assist in new employee on-board process.
i) Perform other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
a) A bachelor’s degree is required.
b) 5-8 years of human resources corporate recruiting experience and / or executive search experience and / or recruitment agency experience preferred.
c) Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
d) Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
e) General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
f) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
g) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
h) Excellent organizational skills.
i) Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
j) Gather and analyze information skillfully.
k) Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions.
