MRO Commodity Supervisor (Maintenance-Repair-Operations)

Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Textile or equivalent

Candidate with an MBA will be added advantage

3 - 5 years working experience in Sourcing/Purchasing Department as leader for MRO purchases (example: machine parts - gears/bearings/valves/pumps/etc, maintenance or engineering services - inverters/cleaning/etc and operations supplies - filters/gaskets/O-rings/etc)

Or 2 - 3 years working experience in Maintenance or Engineering Department

Familiar with the contract drafting and contract management - not compulsory

Working knowledge of Import & Export Procedure

Familiar with the e-procurement or e-auction tool

Able to work independently with a positive work attitude

Responsive with good analytical and negotiation skills

Good team player and able to communicate well (oral & written)

Job Responsibilities

Overall responsibility is to identify and source local and overseas suppliers who deliver high quality products or services in the most cost effective manner.

Develop Point of View (POV -knowledgeable of local and overseas markets/suppliers) for selected materials and services working with other Region Commodity Leaders.

Develop Sourcing plans and implement buying strategies

Negotiate for most competitive pricing

Analysis purchase proposals and purchase options

Source, Evaluate and Qualify potential suppliers

Lead the evaluation and qualification process of suppliers and materials working with the various site sourcing leaders

Create and maintain competition among the existing suppliers by introducing new players or taking use of bidding, e-auction and other tools

Bring capability to AP Procurement teams to extend the Sourcing process.

Leverage as many procurements as possible at site and country level

Timely updates on progress (metrics/KPI/Bets)
