The Client:
Our client is one of the world's largest energy construction material producers
Position: Electrical Engineer
Reporting to: European
Key responsibilities:
1. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of the position holder that the electrical engineering of plants, consultant tasks and internal projects are carried out in such a way that the below is fulfilled:
? That the budgeted profitability for the task is obtained.
? That the supply is approved by the customer as regards function, maintenance, operation and safety.
? That existing expertise in GPR is included in the solving of the task.
? That the task in every respect is in accordance with the legislation, rules and procedures in force.
? That all deliveries are in compliance with the relevant national standards
2. SPECIFIC TASKS
The position holder is to carry out the following tasks so that it is ensured that all the below tasks are solved:
2.1. Electrical engineering
The engineering comprises all phases of project execution from the receipt of the order until the hand-over to OPCOs, including the following:
? Reply to inquiries and working out of price information to OPCOs.
? Carry out sales promotion in connection with visits to OPCOs.
? Work out requirement specification and plant descriptions in connection with preliminary calculations.
? Work out invited and uninvited quotations to OPCOs.
? Participate in the working out of a basis for order confirmations and contracts.
? Work out proposals for constructions and a solution in close cooperation with GPR's other departments, here especially in cooperation with the mechanical department.
? Carry out engineering of software and hardware tasks.
? Work out tender documents to sub suppliers for software and hardware tasks.
? Work out internal requisition as proposal for purchase and co-ordinate purchase with the purchase department.
? Work out documentation for deliveries in the form of drawings, descriptions, pro-grams and safety regulations etc.
? Lead the installation work of GPR's plants.
? Carry out FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) includ-ing signal test, cold test and hot test of the plant, and hand-over business at OPCO when the plant has been installed.
? Carry out after-sales service at OPCOs to conclude that the goal for the supply has been fulfilled.
2.2. Consultant assistance
Electrical consultant assistance to OPCOs is carried out on hourly basis and com-prises one or more of the below tasks:
? Carrying out of engineering projects, described under point 1, on hourly basis.
? Provide advice and guidance in connection with faults and changes in the electrical production plants at OPCOs.
? Carry out trouble shooting and changes in electrical production plants at OPCOs.
2.3. Development
The development tasks comprise:
? ?Design, propose, and carry out projects for development of on-line control, regulation and information systems which are profitable for the Group.
? Carry out projects in cooperation with "GD" and in accordance with the worked out project descriptions.
? Work out quarterly status reports for on-going development projects and presentation material to inform about on-going projects.
2.4. Department and Holding service
The task comprises building up, updating and maintenance of the basic functions of the electrical department to be able to carry out service at OPCOs and carry through ad-hoc tasks.
? Participate actively in the working out and carrying through of standardisation efforts for the electrical engineering in the Group.
? Contribute to methods and routines, both technical and administrative, being up-dated and improved in the department so that the efficiency is constantly increased.
? Contribute to manuals being updated and documented so that information is available to other employees.
2.5. Project management
? As a project manager, the position holder can get the authority to sign purchase or-ders, invoices, etc. according to agreement with the superior.
? The position holder has the authority to develop and carry through the technical so-lutions which are part of his tasks. Solutions, which deviate essentially from normal Group practice or which involve a risk must be discussed with the superior.
? The position holder has the duty to keep himself updated on the company policies for purchase and for the protection of know-how and to comply with these policies.
? The position holder must contribute to updating and improving methods and proce-dures of the department, both technical and administrative; in order to continuously improve our efficiency.
3. REPORTING
Position Holder will:
? ? Work out status reports on tasks and projects.
? Work out reports from the assignments not directly related to carried out projects. It could be e.g. learning points from projects carried out by Position holder, which will have impact on other projects, persons. This will be done normally following exclusive agreement with the superior.
? Make sure that all documentation / reporting is archived following Group rules, and avail-able tools e.g. DMS.
4. AUTHORITY
? The Position Holder has got the authority that is necessary for developing and carrying out the technical solutions that are included in the assigned tasks. Solutions which deviate considerably from normal common practice in the company or which include a risk are to be discussed with the superior.
? The position holder has got the authority which is necessary for solving the tasks within his area of responsibility.
? At the same time the position holder must fulfil all procedures and rules in force at RI which define job authority
5. Other requirement:
? Educational degree of Engineer (B.Sc.) within electrical design with at least some years of practical experience
? Good English skills
? El-CAD is the preferred design software
? Electrical design in industrial buildings
? Specification of Power distribution, Lighting, CTS, Fire alarm systems etc.
? Knowledge within National and international standards
? UL, CSA, CE (EN, ISO, Machinery directive) etc.
? Specifications and requirement to sub suppliers of
? Control Panels/Components
? Building installations
? Control systems / Interfaces
? Basic Knowledge within Automation - PLC and SCADA systems
? Siemens S7 and WinCC in preferred in the Group
