Engineering Manager (Shenzhen)

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a production facility of 150 people that is located in Shenzhen. Our client is a global provider of metal panels and ceiling systems, suspended grid systems, and sustainable ceiling panels.

Job Scope

Report to: General Manager



Responsibilities:

· To provide technical/technology direction in support of the company’s development goals, to lead and coordinate the engineering group activities to ensure the successful and timely completion of all approved engineering projects and also to provide persistent, energetic support for efficient product manufacturing.

· Direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering projects and ensure the success in meeting respective objectives and goals timely;

· Perform the administrative tasks such as approving proposals, expenditures, enforcing policies and hiring and firing of engineers;

· Manufacturing support and process facilitation;

· Use of the Company Quality Management System, support of the Quality Management Team and a strong commitment to the concept of Continuous Improvement ensures that the engineering work product is consistent with market needs and manufacturing capability.

· Addressing customer complaints and resolving engineering problems at the Engineering Management level;

· Must be aware of the competitive technologies in the market and must have a good understanding of the customer’s business within the market;

· Perform other duties, as directed, to meet departmental goals and objectives.



Qualification:

· A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related, with minimum 10 years experience in an engineering leadership position in Metals Fabrication Industry;

· At least 8 years’ working experience in multinational companies;

· Demonstrated success in product development environment;

· Highly motivated and able to work independently with all levels of the organization;

· Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

· Must be bilingual and able to write and speak in English and mandarin;

· Ability to maintain high-quality work in a fast paced working environment;

· Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
