职位描述
Performance Objective (KPI):
? Establish Company fame as a Leather Design director for Automotive at Asian Customer Base, by
Developing Design and product strategies for Targeted Asian business.
? Expose to customer base Company’s Global Design & Development capabilities, new leather developments and global trends incorporated from attending international auto trade show, other industry seminars, and doing research.
? Support Sales & Marketing efforts in building company brand name in Asia, supporting Design/Industry
? Trade shows. Creating true product differentiation (Performance& Appearance, etc) to attempt to avoid commoditization of company Products. Identify and help drive innovation in company product and value add processes.
? Take lead on efforts to communicate product gaps, insure developed products meet customer requirements in a timely manner and approved early in vehicle development process giving Company a competitive advantage in business award process.
? Build solid relationships with Color & Trim designers for all South East Asian customer base such as but not limited to Japan,China ,with consistent, and customer driven service.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor Graduated or above, design or marketing background preferred
? At least 10 years related work experience. Working experience in auto industry is preferred.
? Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and self-starter.
Responsibilities of Product Development and employee relations
1. Ongoing participation in industry seminars and trade shows related to Leather Design (Furniture, Shoe and Hand Bag, as well as Automotive shows.
a. Analyzes self knowledge and skills, propose self-annual training needs based on the Performance
Appraisal Result.
b. Is willing to share knowledge and experience with subordinates to help build a learning organization.
2. Performance Management
Follows all procedures associated with the Company Performance Management Program, manages own performance to ensure on going improvement.
3. Career Development
Is encouraged to actively develop own career by obtaining the most up to date knowledge and skills.
4. Employee Relations
Maintains amiable, respectful working relationships with co-workers both inside and outside the Department.
Functional Job Activities (Please specify the percentage of each activity):
Activity
1: Develop design strategies for each customer that supports the sales strategy and winning business for targeted programs.
Goal: Develop customer relationships with color and trim designers and proposed new and differentiated products for targeted sales programs.
1. Develop design and product strategy to best propose leather products for business plan targeted programs. This is done with frequent customer meetings and product/trend presentations targeting
Specific Models. (20-30% of time).
2. Indentify new business opportunities in advance of forecasting services to the team through frequent contact with designers, getting involved in the process early for competitive advantage.
(15% of time)
3. Works with product development to develop appropriate aesthetic properties for newleather
development on time. (10-20% of time)
4. Develops and executes biannual leather, value add presentations showing conceptual and automotive ready samples.
Activity 2: Support developing of Company brand image in Asia through Design activity Goal: Develop plans and presentations that provide customers more value than competitors. Establish Company fame as the design leader in Asia.
1. Actively work with OEM marketing team for brand, new model promotion activities. Provide
customer with more value from Company than product itself.
2. Actively arrange training & education to OEM design team, marketing team, Tiers, dealers, direct
users about leather & Company, get the whole supplier chain understanding why our products is different from other suppliers’.
3. Actively collect the demand from the supplier chain what kind of leather product are they looking for.
What is the difference between each other? Ensure that an interactive communication take place.
4. Effectively use the suite of design tools to create necessary presentations (e.g. Deltagen, Illustrator,
Photoshop, etc.)
TS Responsibilities:
Is familiar with the company’s quality procedures, strictly follows the company’s quality system of TS 16949.
EMS Responsibilities:
Be familiar with the company’s environmental procedures, strictly follows the company’s EMS of ISO14000.
Health & Safety:
Complies with the company’s SHE manual
Confidentiality Responsibilities:
4. High confidentiality concerns for the company sales and marketing data as well as other sensitive
business information handled for Company.
5. Make sure all the customer visit to shop floor to sign confidentiality agreement in advance.
6. Compliance with employee confidentiality agreement.
Reporting Responsibilities:
Assist in all commercial department report
