Job Title: Revenue Manager –Ibis China
Direct Reporting Line: Director of Revenue & Distribution, Greater China

General mission
? Is responsible for the implementation of RM methods for a dedicated number of hotels in order to maximize the turnover in accordance with brand’s marketing, country, area, hotel strategies and customer’s needs.
? Is responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place in his/her perimeter. He/she implements the GM’s strategy on a daily basis, updates the planning, quotes the groups and alerts the GM, when market deviates from the strategy
? Is in charge of helping the hotels to reach and beat their turnover budget.
? Support the GMs in the creation of the strategy (with proper analysis). Implement the strategy, based on the daily recommendations in the distribution channels, as well as providing complementary or revised proposals for optimisation.
Main Responsibilities
? Check the input and quality of data (correct segmentation, denials tracking, etc);
? Ensure, through an adapted communication, that the hotels knows how to input correct data into the PMS systems;
? Update the event database
? Analyse the hotel performance as a basis for strategy decisions;
? Survey the market, the competitors in terms of pricing and closed dates with the help of Price Trackers, as a basis for future pricing strategies.
? Provide proposals for the adaptation of the long-term and short-term hotel strategy (day types, ideal mix, RML ranking, price points, triggers, sales conditions, etc) on the basis of the analysis done previously;
? Calculate availability and minimum rate for the requests by using group quotation;
? Provide dynamic forecasts, compared to the strategy of the GM and budget;
? Consult daily the recommendations;
? Implement the strategy in inventory and distribution tools;
? Recommend on strategy changes in the revenue management systems, in relation to day types, ideal mix, close limits, booking limits, to be able to react early to guest behaviour changes (new events, cancelled conferences, etc);
? Optimize the distribution channels.
? Analyze on a monthly basis the results in terms of internal and external indicators (RevPAR and marketshare), in order to react in time;
? Check regularly the implementation of the defined strategies (brand, hotel).
? Communicate daily with the reservation and front office teams of the hotels for booking procedures and quality topics.
? Communicate regularly through conf call with the GM about :
- revenue management results and indicators
- potential optimization opportunities, market place and competitive information, booking stand and setting selling strategies;
- analyse of the last months, discussing future trends.
? Organize monthly Revenue Meeting with the Director of RM & DOP, about analysing the last months and discussing identified future trends;

- Keeps the best possible quality in terms of data, in order to optimize the decision making process.
- Leads the hotel teams to give attention to details for all kind of RM data tracking (booking procedures, company profiles, denials, segmentation, rate codes…) and assess them
- Works in close relation with the Hotel Management team and DOP
- Always stays informed of the newest strategy implemented in Accor sales, distribution, Marketing,
Reservation and RM
- Adapts the best means possible to implement Res & Rev methods
- Strong business orientation in three aptitudes :
- Diagnosis & analysis (Analytical mind, conceptual skills, good environment understanding);
- Share his/her conviction (Driving force, relational skills, highly committed);
- Strive for results (Success oriented, data finder, initiate / pro-active).
- Revenue Management : RM Pass Training courses (Dimension).
Analytical tools
- Excel advanced user (most of the formulas; database knowledge, pivot tables);
- Revenue Management System (Amadeus RMS or EZ RMS).
- Technologies and distribution tools
- PMS (Opera or FOLS, Fidelio V7, Hogatex Starlight, Hotix).
- CRS (TARS data and resa main screens) and distribution channels.
- Mandarin and English at a good level;
- PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
