A successful Experience Design Pre-sales Consultant has extensive design experience, and is knowledge of User Experience disciplines such as usability testing, compliance, governance and content strategy. He/she is a leader in strategy, execution, tools, and an active UX community participant. Experience working with cross-functional teams. The pre-sales consultant is responsible to lead customer engagements with customers and manage UX team delivery of UX, Design and creative transformation deliverables on projects, with a focus on design-oriented work.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with UI/UX Architects to create prototypes for the experience

· Delivery and presentation of relevant project deliverables such as creative briefs, mood boards, design comps, digital assets, style guides, and pattern libraries

· Facilitation of workshops and collaborative design sessions

· Translate information architecture documents, UI/UX specifications, and business requirements into high fidelity designs and prototypes

· Communicate the creative vision of the prototype and interaction techniques with the development team — sometimes working with both off-shore and near-shore team members

· Create templates & high and low level prototypes as required

· Champion principles of usability and user-centered design

· Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure that the integrity of the experience is maintained through launch

· Reviews, validates, and/or leads XD team members in all phases of Avanade projects (Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test)

· Design Focus: create design deliverables on assigned projects (i.e. comps, style guides, branding and creative briefs)

· Familiarity with and ability to direct delivery of IA-focused deliverables in projects, (information architecture, taxonomy, content structures)

· Contributes to the brand development of Avanade, customer awareness of XD products and services, develops customer case studies and represents Avanade in community and at professional events

· Sets objectives and leads the delivery of projects or work efforts that have a direct effect on business results within a functional or operational area

· Provides expert advice, guidance and recommendations to senior managers and consultants to resolve business issues

· Responsible for delivering assigned outcomes with high business impact; accountable for day to day outputs and quality performance of a team

· Actions can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies, or unnecessary expense and impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the people managed

Requirements

· 8+ years’ experience designing interfaces, large scale websites, or applications within a team environment

· Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills

· Experience in consulting industry preferred and pre-sales experience required

· Trained and experienced in fundamentals of digital design

· Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

· A team player able to work closely with both designers & developers to create feasible UI designs

· A desire to work with Microsoft products to make them the best experiences in the world

· An appreciation of all other Experience Design roles and their contribution to the final product

· Ability to manage time effectively, work to tight deadlines and report accurately to the team leader

· Experience with creating screen designs from business requirements

· Excellent writing, documentation, and communication skills (in both Mandarin and English)

Desirable

· Experience designing interfaces for mobile devices

· Knowledge of front-end development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

· Experience working with Microsoft products including Windows Phone, SharePoint, WPF, Silverlight, and ASP.NET

· Microsoft Expression Blend & XAML knowledge

· Knowledge of, and experience with usability, interaction design and user experience design including contextual enquiry, conceptual design, use of scenarios and user profiles, wireframing, and user testing

· Experience working with clients and business analysts deriving, establishing and refining business requirements through wireframing.

· Understanding and experience with development processes on large, enterprise level projects
