Responsibilities:
· Conveys the vision, manages change and motivates others to ensure the success of the team's goals; applies broad knowledge and understanding of industry and technology trends and the business impacts of engineering decisions across multiple disciplines within their team
· Assists in developing strategies for building organizational capability, capacity and agility; assists senior management in defining and then executes to annual goals, engineering and business initiatives
· Assists product management teams in product design and development activities that meet or exceed defined customer requirements; actively manages technology and execution risks, as well as integration and coordination with other development teams through to successful
· product launch
· Provides opportunity and encouragement for innovation; rewards and recognizes results
· Works with product management to identify sources of technology and data that can reduce development cost, such as licensing externally developed software
· Helps to define and communicates the technical vision and leads multiple teams through the full lifeヽycle of development activities including design, execution, launch, and maintenance; leverages development resources from multiple locations, including global development centers
· Works with Product Management team on design issues and collaborates on solutions; makes recommendations for major product or technology corrections
· Participates in defining product development processes including engineering design process and quality practices, software estimation, coding standards, technical documentation standards, QA processes, build, and configuration management; ensures that standard policies, procedures and practices are followed
· Works closely with product management to plan the implementation of the product road﹎ap; participates in the development and execution of development and project plans, resource allocation and budget and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements (this includes managing joint development with 3rd party vendors, and managing outsourced development)
· Ensures inヾepth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code, including reviews of in﹉ouse developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors

Knowledge and Skills
· 8+ years experience managing a technical team
· Demonstrated capability in recruiting, developing, and managing high performance software development teams
· Experience in leading the development and delivery of multiple software products on time and within budget
· Demonstrated technical expertise and success in managing others in delivering products utilizing advanced programming environments and concepts
· Significant experience with the software development lifecycle, processes, product development, and project management methodologies and tools; experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Lean) highly desired
· Significant knowledge of formal technology architecture and design process, and demonstrated ability to effectively lead these efforts within a software engineering team
· Experience with workforce allocation and change management
· Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and Internet technologies highly desired
