Position Description:

Manufacturing engineer is responsible for identifying, resolving technical issues associated with
operation and manufacturing practices, and drive improvement to meet safety, quality, and
productivity requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

? Demonstrates effective use of change management tools to make process and operating
procedure improvements. Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems using manufacturing and
technical experience.
? Demonstrates intimate process knowledge and applies it to maintain proper process operation
to meet safety, regulatory, supply, and product quality requirements. Implements continuous
process improvement.
? Understands key supply chain workflows and performance measures. Initiates projects and
procedure changes to improve process performance, tracks key measures.
? Effectively participates on teams. Role models effective facilitative behaviors.
? Has working knowledge of all customers' requirements and the capabilities of suppliers.
? Networks and identifies sources that can provide training and mentoring. Develops thorough
understanding of Dow Corning's knowledge base and broadens own experience.


KEY QUALIFICATION

Chemical process or chemical engineering education background
5 years working experience associated with manufacturing of chemical products
Skills
Technical skill for problem identification and solving issues using six sigma methodologies and
various technical tools
Inter personnel skill to communicate clearly and listen to feedbacks
Understand DC value/vision and business drives and derive to right decisions, having basic
situational leadership skill to work with peers
