Scope of Responsibilities

· Draft and/or review a wide variety of commercial contracts and other legal documents in Chinese and English

· Support contract negotiations with customers, suppliers and partners in China and the Asia Pacific Region

· Conduct legal research and prepare internal memoranda, as well as update contract forms for compliance with local laws

· Monitor and report on new and changed legislation in China to ensure the company’s continued compliance

· Advise on labor and employment law issues in China and the Asia Pacific Region

· Manage the provision of advice by outside counsel as needed

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

· University degree

· License to practice law in China

· Fluent in both oral and written Chinese and English

· Three to five years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts

· Experience in a law firm and/or multinational company is preferred

· Dynamic, hard working and a team player with a strong sense of responsibility

· Strong communication and cooperation skills, as well as ability to work in a multicultural environment
