Responsibilities:
- Work inthe Internationalization team as an i18n engineer
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications
- Focus on developing and maintaining applications used in the internationalization and localization of Linux
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Strong Java i18n experience, strong programming experience in C/C++ environment
- Strong knowledge in Linux/UNIX operating system, strong knowledge in Software Internalization (il8n)
- Proficient in a variety of scripting languages, including python, shell and perl preferred
- Extensive experience in the packaging and delivery of software for one or more flavours of Linux/UNIX
- Experience in developing Linux Desktop applications
- Experience in developing applications for GTK/GNOME and QT/KDE
- Understanding of and experience in object-oriented design and coding
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
