JOB DESCRIPTION :

1.Deliver new, compelling designs solutions and product innovations for automotive exterior and interior.

2.Passionate, aspiring designer who wants to take on this challenging role and contributing something meaningful

to China market and globally.

3.The position will be located in Shanghai

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1.Create fresh, innovative ideas with a stretch and forward thinking.

2.Work traditionally and digitally (2D and 3D) for concepts and production programs.

3.Design skills in all levels from idea generation, sketching, 3D modeling, to final renderings.

4.Work creatively within technical package/constraints.

5.Create artistic presentation for senior management review.

6.Understand and integrate marketing brief/information.

7.Awareness of the emerging trends, latest technologies, design trends & innovations and have strong analytical skill to identify customer opportunities from both Design and Marketing perspective.

8.Work with cross-functional team (Marketing, Consumer Insights, Product Planning and Engineering) to develop innovative product concepts.

9.Work together with Marketing and outside vendors to develop creative work for research events that deliver clear consumer insights to the Design community.

10.Flexibility in travel mainly within China to support various market insight research events including weekends and holidays if required .

11.Self-driven with project disciplines in timing and milestone deliverables.

12.Flexibility to support regular Global Design management conference meetings that are scheduled outside of the normal business hours when required


QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Visionary and passionate about Automotive Design

2.Academic degrees and work experience in Automotive Design Excellent 2D & 3D digital capabilities.

3.Well experienced in both Exterior and Interior design & development on concepts and production projects.

4.Ability to think three-dimensionally, with a strong emphasis on proportions and a refined sense of form.

5.Proficiency in applying and translating cultural and consumer insights to innovative design concepts that shapes the futures of automotive landscape.Strategic and creative thinking.

6.Strong communication skills Interpersonal skills

7.Must be a good team player

8.Sense of urgency and ability to multi-tasking

Experience/Competency

1.3+ years in major design studios preferred (will consider recent graduates if qualifies)

2.Traditional design media (pen, pencil, marker) 2D/3D digital design media (Photoshop, Alias, Maya, Power Point, Showcase, VRED, etc.)

3.Strong Graphics sense and Typography layout design skill is a plus
