职位描述
POSITION PURPOSE:
To maximize service levels to our customers by effectively communicating and coordinating required materials and activities to meet global customer delivery requirements for Purchased Finished Goods. Evaluate and solve routine problems to cost effectively meet aggressive schedules while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Company objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS degree or equivalent work experience
· Minimum 5 years Planning experience.
· Minimum 5 years Purchasing experience
· Excellent English communication ability
· Self starter with an action-oriented attitude
· Strong PC skills- especially with Excel
· ORACLE experience preferred
· APICS Certification (CPIM) preferred
· Methodical, organized and detail oriented work habits
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Effectively communicate with all necessary departments and locations to ensure the timely purchasing of material to achieve exceptional on-time shipping performance to customers. Manage, coordinate and expedite procurement schedules to maintain excellent on time delivery performance from suppliers. Analyze missed supplier and customer shipments to determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
2. Continually identify, analyze and recommend creative system and process improvement opportunities throughout the organization that will help us to meet our customer satisfaction goals.
3. Work closely with the Purchasing team to communicate all issues related to supplier performance and make recommendations to improve.
4. Coordinate and schedule transfer of materials needed in all supplier and warehouse locations globally to minimize overstock situations and maximize customer satisfaction.
5. Manage inventory levels to achieve desired turns objectives through database management, reviewing and recommending forecast changes and by scheduling supplier deliveries to match customer needs.
6. Place purchase orders from Approved Suppliers (per ASL and sourcing rules maintained by Purchasing) to provide delivery schedules that match customer demands while considering inventory levels, purchase price, physical size, effect on the receiving and inspection process, current Purchasing agreements / contracts and susceptibility to design change at all levels.
7. Maintain and monitor KANBAN process and supplier stock plan agreements to ensure adequate supply of purchased materials to meet required customer request date and company guidelines on Available to Promise (ATP) leadtimes.
8. Work closely with Engineering on new product introductions, the ECO process and production problems; reduce time to market on new items, minimize obsolete inventory on design changes and to set priorities.
9. Analyze inventory performance to targets, and submit monthly report on progress to goals and objectives
