Essential Responsibilities:

? Hardware multilayer PCB Layout design development for infotainment units and components in automotive area covering impedance control, process technology and EMC.
? Components pre placement based on requirements and recommendations of the responsible lead engineers hardware and mechanic
? Optimization of the placement in alignment with the Hardware and mechanic engineers
? Perform routing and optimization
? Perform signal integrity simulation where necessary.
? Optimize layout according to signal integrity needs in close cooperation with the lead HW engineer
? Generate all relevant output data for PCB order and manufacturing needs
? Prepare data for the layout reviews and join the layout reviews

? Tracking the layout data transmission to the PCB vendor and support him if technical questions rise up
? Documentation
? Consider the Harman standard rules & design guide lines for manufacturing in the layout design
? Understanding of requirements, Hardware design and development process flow of Hardware in the field Automotive Infotainment platforms.
? Capability to perform schematic entry on ECAD based on guidelines of the leading HW engineer
? Performing the layout and simulation on the HARMAN Mentor System
? Work with distributed teams in a matrix organization.

Basic Qualifications and Desired Characteristics:

? Minimum 4 years experience in ECAD Layout design of digital, analog and high speed applications
? Mentor expertise is preferred.
? Minimum 2 years experience in Signal integrity simulation of high speed signals
? Self-motivated; results-driven individual. Must be passionate about the work.
? Ability to work in a team is a precondition
? Must be fluent in both written and spoken English. Important to perform the reviews with the global team
? Ability to work under pressure

? Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
