Job responsibilities:
As a member of R&D team you will be working closely with worldwide Product team to fulfill the development of a key HP S/W product – Universal Discovery, the world leading product in ITIL CMS domain.
HP uses “agile” software development methodology. This position involves all phases of software development as follows.
1. Design and develop new content features for the product
2. Resolve defects and enhancements in time
3. Maintain, test and do performance tuning to improve the quality of the product
4. Handle customer issues and escalations
Skills/Qualifications:
1. Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information System, Software Engineering or equivalent
2. Solid OO programming skill in Java
3. Strong knowledge and experience in at least one of the following domains:
? Network (TCP/IP, SNMP, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, WMI)
? OS (Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Mac OS)
? Virtualization (HP nPars, Hyper-V, IBM LPAR, Oracle VM, Solaris Zone, VMWare)
? Cluster and Load Balancing (EMC, Microsoft Cluster, Red Had Cluster, Solaris Cluster, Cisco CSS, Microsoft NLB)
? Database (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, Hana, Sybase, PostgreSQL)
? Enterprise Applications (Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, Oracle E-Bussiness)
? Web Services deployment (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, TIBCO, IIS)
4. Familiar with at least one script language, Python is preferred
5. Agile/scrum practice experience
6. Customer facing experience
7. Can do attitude, self-driven, customer oriented, quick learner
8. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
9. Good oral and writing English
