POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

This position will work closely with cross-organizational business teams and global ITS teams. Therefore, the role requires both broad and deep business knowledge and in-depth IT knowledge. The role requires a strong individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in business processes, IT technical knowhow and execution.


? The position provides support the day to day IT operations of the manufacturing facility, working with both local, regional and global business and IT counterparts. The position is responsible for IT Help Desk, technical support, PC hardware technical test & troubleshooting, network & telephony issue resolution, and computer room support etc

? The position will resolve PC client issues e.g. desktop/laptop hardware, software, OS, printers etc and provide information on IT processes, general how-to queries and known outages. When a problem is reported, the position must analyze the symptoms, determine the root cause, review Knowledge Base instructions, provide resolution and document the relevant details. These are all English based.

? The candidate needs to work and escalate to appropriate Level 2 team when needed and monitor progress on critical priority tickets. This involves follow-up with Level 2 support teams for timely completion of tasks and co-ordination with third-party vendors like Dell and Canon for hardware issues. This job role requires candidates to provide IT support on inbound calls, web tickets and chat.

? Requires support oversight of the IT components located at the NCR location including PC, Network, Telephony infrastructure and applications

? Serve as hands on support, senior analyst and also business user community liaison to development organization for clarification, escalation, and acceptance of infrastructure and application issues.

? Consult with technical subject matter experts and recommend alternative technical solutions when applicable;

? Coordinator of user acceptance testing and primary tester for any system acceptance testing; Engage customers, account teams and other testing partners to coordinate resource availability for each testing cycle; Manage the User Testing (UAT) environment in support of new releases.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

2-5 years of related IT experience

Thorough knowledge of Windows 7 Operating System.

Good working knowledge of Windows, MS Office & internet technologies.

Basic networking concepts, troubleshooting LAN/remote access problems.

Strong technical background, knowledge and understanding of systems integration

Strong spoken and written English communication skills; Must be able to convey technical concepts to non-technical & technical people

Strong troubleshooting and analytic skills

Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

Ability to work with in-country business teams, in-country IT, regional IT and global IT teams

Flexibility in working hours to accommodate IT project steps that need to be performed out of office hours

Ability and willingness to learn quickly, keep knowledge current.
