General Ledger Accountant

Job Purpose Statement

Performs daily accounting process in Record-to-Report cycle, oversee the completion of GL accounts.

Key Accountabilities

1) Process and oversee the daily general ledger activities to obtain and record financial data, post and review accounting entries, verify payments.

2) Monitor the closing activities to ensure the financial data are submitted on a timely basis

3) Prepare internal and external financial reports. Prepare account reconciliation, analyze trends, and ensure proper follow-up

4) Coordinate internal/ external audit

5) Assist accounting manager to resolve unforseen issues in GL process

6) Meet the commitment of Service Level Agreement

7) Execute continuous improvement initiatives, and support the simplification and standardization of GL processes across various entities.

8) Strictly follow the internal control policies and procedures

Other related finance and accounting activities.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

1) Education: Bachelor in Accounting or Finance

2) Certification: CPA preferred

3) Experience: Min. 3 years relevant working experience

4) Knowledge of finance, accounting, and control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

5) Knowledge of ERP systems and office software, SAP preferred

6) Good inter-personal and communications skills

7) Good command of English & Mandarin

8) Japanese or Korean speaking skill would be a plus
