JOB DESCRIPTION - PROJECT MANAGER
(Project BBAC)
PROJECT MANAGER:
FUNCTION:
? Senior technical engineer specializing in industrial maintenance with at least 10 years
? Professional experience in industrial installation, where he has been involved in different phases of projects, such as engineering, development, implementation, operation and maintenance, enabling him to understand all production process phases with high preference in the vertical of
the automotive industry. Subsequently responsible for managing the contract as a project from the technical as well from the economical point of view taking into account the entire balance sheet of the project until to the cashflow. He will also be certified.
? Intercultural skills are mandatory as well as a high level management of the Chinese, English and German language.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As he is ultimately responsible for the contract and its administration, he must have the following most significant charactistics:
? Actively gather information of the Customer and the Customer’s requests targets
? Involve the Customer in decision-making and provide regular information to the Customer
? Manage the Customer’s expectations and conclude the project to the satisfaction of the Customer
? Put in place a Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) with a breakdown of clear and measurable individual measures
? Identify cross-division business opportunities
? Create additional business opportunities out of the ongoing project
? Claim Management
? Involve the project team in the identification of claims
? Assess contracts according to claim relevant significance and ensure the involvement of legal experts
? Put the strategy in place in order to rigorously implement / mitigate the claims
? At an early stage inform Customer, Management and Project Team about the scope of deviations
? Conduct jointly with procurement and sales the negotiation of the claims
? Project Planning, Controlling and Closure
? Assure the implementation of all relevant Health & Safety measures and continuously aligh them with the Customer
? Manage the Project with the defined time, quality and Health & Safety framework
? Handle all relevant planning elements and milestone work results according to the Project Category
? Discuss with the relevant stakeholders, align and implement the IPM relevant
Maintenance Processes
? Set-up and maintain the company Project Management Plan (Maintenance Handbook)
? Define procedures and requirements regarding Quality Management (audits, quality gates, acceptance checks,) according to the valid Quality Management regulations and standards defined by the company and the client
? Monitor continuously the project status taking into account IFRS, early identification of discrepancies and initiation of targeted actions
? Hold regular project status meetings and organize acceptance of milestone work results
? Manage acceptance of delivery units and services performing quality controls
? Document all work and processes according to the valid document management standards
? Initiate relevant Change Management measures and align them with the Customer in order to assure the expected improvement potentials
? Leadership & Communication (Internal and External)
? Ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders (Project Team, Customer, Contractors)
? Agree targets with project staff and delegate defined responsibilities and authority
? Monitor the motivation of the Project Team
? Coach and control the team / individual members of staff
? Hold feedback sessions with each directly assigned member of staff
? Seek active feedback, e.g. from members of staff, management, Customer
? Have the spirit of entrepreneurship and handle the Customer in the frame of a partnership with the objective of a common win-win target
